General Assistance

Located in Battle Creek, MI, General Assistance through St. Joseph Catholic Church operates the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, dedicated to supporting households in need with a compassionate and practical approach. Our mission is to uplift those facing hardship through vital services including emergency food assistance, advocacy, and help with transportation. We conduct home visits to understand individual needs better and provide support for paying utilities, securing rental assistance, and acquiring essential household furnishings. By engaging in person-to-person service, we not only address immediate needs but also foster spiritual growth and community connection amongst volunteers and those we assist.
