Nicole Turcotte-ruiz

Nicole Turcotte-Ruiz, MSW, LMSW, is a compassionate Clinical Social Worker and Therapist dedicated to supporting adults and elders in navigating life's challenges. With a belief that sometimes, therapists must carry hope for their clients until they can find it for themselves, Nicole understands that the decision to seek therapy signifies a desire for change and improvement. Her approach is rooted in resilience, recognizing that human beings have an innate ability to overcome adversity. Psychotherapy with Nicole is a collaborative journey, where she works alongside clients to cultivate the insights and skills required to address issues such as depression, relationship problems, grief, low self-esteem, and academic or employment difficulties. Nicole's extensive experience includes eight years at the University of Michigan's Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic, where she provided treatment for clients facing Depression, Anxiety, and Bipolar Disorder, while also mentoring and supervising graduate students and fellows. With a special interest in reproductive loss issues, she regards it as a privilege to help individuals bravely confront their most intimate struggles on the path toward a healthier and happier life.
