In Person
Greta Furlong, LMSW, is a compassionate Clinical Social Worker and Therapist who understands the profound impact that connecting with nature has on mental health and well-being. Her private practice, housed in a charming farmhouse dating back to 1850, is situated on 10 acres, complete with walking trails, inviting outdoor sitting areas, and flourishing gardens. Greta's property is home to six playful dwarf pygmy goats—Billy, Marigold, Juniper, Ivy, Finn, and Scout—as well as a few chickens. Her dog, Quincy, often brings joy to sessions with his playful antics, particularly when he chases the goats. Countless clients find interacting with the animals or simply basking in the sunlight while listening to the birds therapeutic during their sessions. With a strong focus on Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Person-Centered, Strength-Based, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Greta approaches each client as a unique individual influenced by their distinct life stories. She prioritizes listening, building trust and understanding, and empowering her clients to develop coping skills and achieve their personal goals. While much of her experience lies in high school social work, Greta is deeply passionate about supporting individuals at all stages of life. She specializes in assisting those grappling with anxiety and depression, bringing a wealth of knowledge and empathetic understanding to her practice.
