Emergency Food Assistance Program

The Emergency Food Assistance Program in Alpena, MI, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to individuals and families in need. By sourcing surplus food from the United States Department of Agriculture, we ensure that community members can access nutritious options to meet their basic dietary needs. Our program operates quarterly, distributing emergency food in February, May, August, and November across various counties. Each county features designated distribution sites; however, please note that East Tawas, Rogers City, and Wolverine will not have quarterly distributions.
