The Women's Trauma Recovery Empowerment Group, led by a clinical social worker and therapist, prepares to offer intensive outpatient support for those looking to address their trauma history. The next 12-week Virtual Women’s Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model (TREM) Group is set to run from October 26th to January 14th, meeting every Tuesday and Friday from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. The TREM is a fully manualized, group-based intervention specifically designed to support trauma recovery in women who have experienced sexual and physical abuse. Utilizing techniques such as cognitive restructuring, psychoeducational tools, and skills training, this 24- to 29-session program emphasizes the cultivation of coping skills and the establishment of social support networks. It effectively addresses both short-term and long-term repercussions of violent victimization, including mental health challenges, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and substance abuse. TREM has been successfully implemented in various service settings, including mental health, substance abuse, and criminal justice sectors, and is beneficial for diverse racial and ethnic populations. This group offers a courageous step towards personal transformation and a supportive community, inviting participants to explore if this opportunity aligns with their healing journey.
