Denise Hansen

Denise Hansen is a dedicated clinical social worker and therapist with an MSW and LCSW-C. She is deeply passionate about providing trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and culturally sensitive care, particularly to consensually non-monogamous, sex-positive, military, and first responder communities. Denise takes pride in cultivating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable discussing the changes they aspire to make in their lives. She understands the courage and strength it requires to seek help and is committed to guiding individuals through their journeys. Denise provides individual therapy to adults addressing a diverse range of concerns, including grief, trauma, life transitions, substance use, HIV, mood, and relationship issues. Together with her clients, she collaborates to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique psychiatric, medical, social, and economic circumstances. Her therapeutic interventions encompass motivational interviewing, stages of change, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and harm reduction. With a focus on building strong therapeutic relationships, Denise empowers her clients to achieve their goals and navigate life's challenges with confidence.
