Grocery Plus

Grocery Plus in Takoma Park, MD, is dedicated to supporting seniors in maintaining a healthy lifestyle by providing essential food assistance tailored to their dietary needs. As a collaborative effort with the USDA Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, we deliver monthly packages containing 30-40 lbs. of nutritious groceries to seniors aged 60 and over in the District of Columbia who meet specific income guidelines. Additionally, during the summer months, our program offers farmers market vouchers to enable seniors to select fresh produce from local markets, ensuring they have access to the healthiest options available. To access food assistance for the first time, seniors are encouraged to bring proof of identification, age, and residency in D.C. Join us in fostering well-being and nutrition for our senior community, one meal at a time.
