Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

At the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also referred to as the Food Supplement Program (FSP) in Maryland, we are dedicated to supporting low-income individuals and families in Silver Spring by providing essential food assistance. Our mission is to ensure that everyone has access to the nutritious food they need for a healthy life. SNAP offers monthly benefits that enable eligible households to purchase food through a convenient Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, allowing them to make informed choices at grocery stores. We strive to empower our community by alleviating food insecurity and promoting well-being among our neighbors.
