Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA)

Located in Severna Park, MD, the American Legion's Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA) program is dedicated to supporting the minor children of active duty and American Legion members in times of need. We understand that families facing financial hardships require immediate aid to maintain a stable home environment. Our program provides one-time cash grants of up to $1,500 to assist with essential needs such as shelter, food, utilities, and health expenses. Eligibility for assistance is determined through a thorough investigation at the local post or department level, ensuring that all available resources have been explored.
