Patches of Light, located in Severna Park, MD, is dedicated to providing essential financial assistance to families navigating the overwhelming challenges of catastrophic health issues. Our mission focuses on supporting families with children in need by offering aid for utilities, housing costs, gas cards, and grocery cards. To ensure efficient assistance while maintaining confidentiality, we operate directly through the child's medical team, which verifies requests for help. Applications for support typically take 2-3 weeks to process and must be submitted by hospital staff on behalf of the family. We kindly ask that after submitting an application, a confirmation email is sent to us, as it helps ensure we receive all requests, allowing us to serve families more effectively during their time of need.
