Patches of Light, located in Salisbury, MD, is dedicated to providing compassionate financial assistance to families with children enduring catastrophic health challenges. Our mission is to alleviate some of the burdens faced by these families through vital support, including help with utility payments, housing costs, and the provision of gas and grocery cards. We prioritize confidentiality and work closely with the child's medical team to process applications, which typically take 2-3 weeks for consideration. To apply for assistance, hospital staff must submit requests on behalf of the family, as families cannot directly apply themselves. We encourage hospital partners to confirm the reception of applications via email to ensure a smooth process, as we are unable to accept direct communication from applicants about their submissions. Together, we strive to lighten the load for families during their most challenging times.
