Simple Cooking with Heart/SNAP-Ed

Simple Cooking with Heart, part of the YMCA's SNAP-Ed program in Rockville, MD, is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of SNAP-eligible residents through vital culinary and nutrition education. Our comprehensive four-week classes empower participants with practical cooking skills and nutritional knowledge, supporting them in making healthier food choices. Every household enrolled in the program also benefits from two complimentary bags of fresh produce delivered right to their doorstep, enhancing their access to nutritious foods. Currently, our engaging classes are offered virtually, ensuring that everyone can participate in learning how to eat well and live better in the comfort of their home.
