Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP)

The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Riverdale, MD, is dedicated to empowering food insecure, limited-resource youth and families through essential nutrition education. Our mission is to equip families with practical skills and strategies to prepare nutritious meals on a budget, enhance their food security, and make healthier food choices both at home and in grocery stores. We offer a series of health and nutrition workshops that encompass 10-12 engaging lessons, taught in small groups or one-on-one, tailored to the unique cultural needs of our participants. Classes are available in both English and Spanish, ensuring that all families can access valuable guidance to improve their overall health and wellbeing.
