Emergency Meal Units

Emergency Meal Units in Riverdale, MD, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to families facing urgent need. Operated by the Good News Community Kitchen, our program delivers carefully packaged emergency meal units that contain nutritious dry goods to help alleviate food scarcity. Each unit includes a 1lb bag of rice, two cans of either butter beans or black beans, and a 1lb bag of whole grain old-fashioned oats, ensuring that families receive food that meets their basic nutritional needs. If you are experiencing food insecurity, we encourage you to fill out our online form to request an emergency meal unit. Once registered, families will receive a meal kit on a bi-weekly basis. A valid state-issued identification card is required via email for verification. We are here to support our community during times of need.
