Emergency Meal Units, part of The Good News Community Kitchen in Potomac, MD, is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity for families in urgent need of food assistance. Our program provides essential dry goods to combat immediate food scarcity, ensuring that each emergency meal unit meets basic nutritional needs. Each unit includes a 1 lb bag of rice, two cans of beans (either butter beans or black beans, providing a total of seven servings), and a 1 lb bag of whole grain old fashioned oats. If you and your family are facing food hardship, we invite you to fill out our online form to request an emergency meal unit. Registered families will receive bi-weekly meal kits to support their dietary needs, and a valid state-issued identification is required for processing.
