Young Parent Support Center (YPSC)

The Young Parent Support Center (YPSC) in Parkville, MD, is dedicated to empowering families and enhancing the healthy development of children from infancy through early childhood. Through our free services, we aim to guide families towards self-sufficiency and economic independence. We offer a variety of resources including developmental child care focused on early literacy and school readiness for children ages zero to four, transportation services for residents in the greater Dundalk, Essex, and Middle River areas, and adult education programs to assist with GED preparation. Our workshops cover career exploration and job readiness, while our parenting classes, such as the 'Nurturing Program' and 'Parents as Teachers,' provide essential knowledge and skills. Additionally, we support families with home-visiting services, recreational outings, and life skills training. At YPSC, we bring communities together with substance abuse prevention classes and resources for Food Supplement Program recipients, helping families build healthy relationships and make informed decisions.
