Missy Herendeen

Missy Herendeen is a devoted clinical social worker and licensed therapist who is passionate about partnering with individuals on their journey to gain insights and find their voice through the power of storytelling, meditation, and the mind-body connection. She values the profound benefits of connecting physical experiences with the manifestations of the external world, finding immense satisfaction in working alongside individuals and families as they explore these connections. Missy dreams big, reimagining the constructs that often limit one's fullest potential, while cultivating a compassionate and empathetic space for clients to process their challenges. In addition to her outpatient practice, she specializes in working with adoptees and their families, focusing on issues such as attachment, grief, guilt, shame, and spirituality. Much of her work is rooted in addressing ambiguous loss, attachment trauma, and identity integration, which can manifest as emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, and anger. Missy collaborates with individuals and families to delve into these complex emotions, identifying underlying causes and fostering growth and acceptance. She believes that navigating such emotions does not need to be a solitary journey, and she provides a safe environment for her clients to embark on their path toward freedom and release.
