Kate Stephens

Kate Stephens is a passionate counselor dedicated to empowerment in therapy. She understands that whether individuals face difficult decisions, need to establish boundaries, or desire to alter patterns in their lives, the journey requires support. Kate's mission is to walk alongside her clients as they explore not just the influences that shape their present, but also how they envision a different future. Utilizing a relational approach that combines honesty and empathy, she helps clients achieve their personal goals. With extensive training in the eating disorder field, Kate frequently assists those coping with anxiety and depression. She is especially committed to guiding clients through the processing and growth following traumatic events. In 2019, Kate earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Washington University. Since then, she has worked at an eating disorder facility, providing day treatment and intensive outpatient support to women grappling with eating disorders. Currently, she holds an LGPC from the state of Maryland and receives clinical supervision from Nooshin Kiankhooy, LCPC, CEDS.
