Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA)

The American Legion Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA) program, located in Olney, MD, is dedicated to providing urgent financial support to minor children of current active duty service members and American Legion members. We understand the challenges that families face, and through our grants, we help maintain stability by addressing essential needs such as shelter, food, utilities, and health expenses. Eligible families can receive a one-time non-repayable grant of up to $1,500 to assist with these critical expenses. To ensure that support is directed appropriately, we conduct thorough investigations to confirm genuine family needs and ensure all other assistance resources have been explored.
