Meals on Wheels in Oakland, MD, is dedicated to nourishing the well-being of our frail, home-bound elderly residents through our vital home-delivered meal program. We understand the importance of nutrition and connection, delivering balanced meals five days a week, along with a bi-annual in-home wellness check by a registered nurse to ensure the health and safety of our participants. While there is no fee for our meals, we encourage contributions to sustain and enhance our services. Before joining our program, each senior undergoes an evaluation by the Adult Evaluation and Review Services, ensuring that we meet their unique needs effectively. Our mission is to provide not just food assistance, but to foster a sense of care and community for those who may feel isolated.
