Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP)

The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in North East, MD, is dedicated to empowering food-insecure families and youth through essential nutrition education. Our program equips participants with the skills and strategies needed to prepare nutritious meals on a limited budget, make healthier food choices both at home and in grocery stores, and ultimately enhance their food security and overall health. Through a series of 10-12 engaging lessons delivered in small groups or one-on-one settings, we provide health and nutrition education that respects diverse cultural backgrounds. Classes are offered in both English and Spanish, ensuring accessibility for all families seeking to improve their dietary habits and well-being.
