Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA)

Located in Middle River, MD, the American Legion's Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA) program is dedicated to providing essential cash grants to minor children of active duty or American Legion members. Our mission is to support families in need by offering financial relief that enables a more stable living environment. Grants of up to $1,500 are available to assist with vital expenses such as shelter, food, utilities, and health costs. To ensure that aid reaches those who need it most, a thorough investigation and verification of need are conducted at the local level, ensuring that all other assistance options have been explored.
