Americans Helping Americans, located in La Plata, MD, is dedicated to empowering families and children in Appalachia through essential services and support. Our mission focuses on providing immediate and practical assistance, including emergency food, clothing, school supplies, and hygiene items, ensuring that those in need have access to the basic necessities of life. We also engage in vital initiatives like home repair and youth enrichment projects, as well as operating a food pantry to offer monthly and supplemental food resources.
