Cold Weather Shelter

The Cold Weather Shelter in Jessup, MD is dedicated to providing essential overflow shelter for those in need during the cold winter months, operating from November through March. Our program relies on the generous support of local congregations, who host the shelter for one or two weeks and engage volunteers to assist with transportation, meals, laundry, and shelter shifts. Grassroots oversees the coordination of these efforts, ensuring that a dedicated staff member is present to guide the team during shelter hours.
