Refugee Resettlement

Located in Hyattsville, MD, the International Rescue Committee is dedicated to empowering refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, and survivors of torture as they begin their new lives in America. We provide essential services such as furnished housing, assistance with rent, healthcare access, nutritious food resources, and English language classes. Our programs also support skill development through job training, computer literacy, and financial education, while ensuring children have access to quality education. Additionally, we offer vital social services, community integration efforts, and legal assistance with residency and citizenship. From the moment they arrive at the airport, refugees are welcomed and supported by our compassionate case workers and volunteers, guiding them towards a successful transition into their new community.
