Grocery Assistance Program (GAP)

The Grocery Assistance Program (GAP) in Hyattsville, MD, is dedicated to providing essential grocery assistance to individuals who are unable to shop for themselves. Our mission is simple: to ensure that those who receive home-delivered meals, as well as seniors aging in place, have access to the food they need without the burden of cost. Through a network of caring volunteers, we facilitate grocery shopping and delivery directly to our clients’ homes. Clients only pay for the groceries selected by their volunteer; our service itself is completely free. We also offer assistance in unpacking and organizing groceries, promoting a seamless and supportive experience for our clients. At GAP, we strive to nourish our community with practical and compassionate food assistance, ensuring that no one faces the challenges of grocery shopping alone.
