Grocery Plus

Grocery Plus serves the vibrant senior community in Germantown, MD, by ensuring that those aged 60 and over have access to essential food assistance tailored to support a healthy lifestyle. Our program combines the USDA Commodity Supplemental Food Program and the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, offering monthly packages of 30-40 lbs. of nutritious groceries designed to meet basic dietary needs. Seniors who qualify can choose additional fresh produce and pantry staples to enhance their meals. During the summer months, we provide vouchers for local farmers' markets, allowing participants to enjoy seasonal fruits and vegetables. To access our services, seniors must verify their identity, age, and residency in Washington, DC, on their initial visit. We are dedicated to promoting wellness and active living through nutritious food support.
