Jonathan Helwig, LMSW, is a compassionate and committed Licensed Master Social Worker who approaches therapy through an integrative and holistic lens. As an Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) and Mindfulness-based therapist, he emphasizes that therapeutic goals should be collaborative and self-determined by his clients. Jonathan empowers individuals, equipping them with the confidence to take the 'driver's seat' in their own lives. His expertise spans various age groups and backgrounds, addressing top issues such as anxiety, men's issues, and life transitions. Jonathan's clinical experience is extensive, including work at the Office of Child Welfare Services in Montgomery County, MD, and the Safe Shores Children’s Advocacy Center in Washington, D.C. He has also contributed at Safe Journey House, a 24-hour crisis center assisting high-risk individuals with diverse mental health challenges. Additionally, Jonathan has played a vital role in the Potomac Programs’ Intensive Outpatient Program, helping teens navigate substance abuse-related issues.
