Kayla Schuster, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, is passionate about supporting adults and elders on their therapeutic journeys. She believes that seeking therapy requires immense courage, and she is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for her clients. Kayla’s approach is collaborative and personalized, offering a holistic perspective that reconnects the mind and body for profound healing. As a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, she guides individuals to find peace within their bodies and relationships with food. Recognizing that trauma and emotional distress can lead to a survival state for both the brain and body, Kayla applies a trauma-informed, systemic lens in her work. She draws from body-based and experiential modalities like Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to facilitate empowerment and resolution of trauma. Her additional training in EMDR and her background in nutrition, combined with a weight-inclusive approach, empower clients to connect with their innate wisdom and healing potential, ultimately guiding them towards living full, authentic lives.
