Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also referred to as the Food Supplement Program (FSP) in Maryland, is dedicated to supporting low-income individuals and families in Ellicott City, MD by facilitating access to the nutritious food they need for a healthy lifestyle. Each month, eligible households receive benefits through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which functions like a debit or credit card, making it easier to purchase essential food items. SNAP/FSP is committed to alleviating food insecurity and promoting better health within our community by ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to obtain adequate nutrition.
