Grocery Assistance Program (GAP)

The Grocery Assistance Program (GAP) in Edgewater, MD, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to those unable to shop for themselves. Clients are only responsible for the cost of the groceries purchased by their assigned volunteer, ensuring that there are no additional service fees. Our volunteers not only shop and deliver groceries but also assist clients in putting their items away, if needed. This program primarily serves individuals receiving home-delivered meals, as well as seniors aging in place who require grocery shopping assistance, fostering a sense of community and support in a caring environment.
