Assistance Network

The Assistance Network in Edgewater, MD, is dedicated to supporting local families facing crisis by providing essential food assistance and critical resources. Formed with the compassion of local ministers in response to the increasing demand for emergency help, our organization ensures that individuals can receive support in a respectful and efficient manner, eliminating the need to navigate multiple churches for aid. We offer a food pantry stocked with non-perishable items as well as food cards for local grocery stores, prioritizing dignity in our delivery of services. Each week, a variety of fresh produce and other food items are collected from grocery stores and distributed to those in need, including outreach to the sick and shut-in. Our mission also includes eviction protection and utility assistance to prevent hardships from escalating. Through collaborative programs such as Warm Nights and holiday initiatives, we strive to create a supportive community for all those we serve.
