Americans Helping Americans, based in Derwood, MD, is dedicated to delivering essential support and resources to families and children in need across Appalachia. Our mission focuses on providing vital food assistance, emergency aid, school supplies, clothing, and hygiene items to ensure that Appalachian families can access the critical items they require to thrive. We also offer monthly and supplemental food through our food pantry, facilitate home repairs, and support youth enrichment projects, all with the goal of empowering communities and fostering stability for those we serve.
