Sharlene Sylvester

Sharlene Sylvester is a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) offering online counseling services. She graduated summa cum laude from The University of Maryland, where she earned her Master of Social Work with a concentration in mental health and a minor in psychological services. Sharlene is not only a lifetime member of Psi Chi, Pi Gamma Mu, and Theta Rho—honor societies in psychology, social science, and social work—but is also pursuing her doctoral degree in clinical psychology. Currently, she serves as the Assistant Director/Program Manager for a large state and federally funded organization and is actively involved in crisis response for COVID-19 through her volunteer work with United Way and 211. Sharlene's culturally competent approach to therapy encompasses individual, group, couples, and family counseling for clients aged 5 and up. She holds specialized expertise in working with geriatric populations, substance abuse issues, and clients involved in court-ordered treatment.
