Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also referred to as the Food Supplement Program (FSP) in Maryland, is dedicated to assisting low-income individuals and families in Columbia, MD, by providing essential food assistance. This program ensures that our community members can access the nutrition they need for a healthy lifestyle by offering monthly benefits that help purchase food. Recipients receive their SNAP/FSP benefits through a convenient Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, making it easy to shop for groceries while maintaining adequate nutritional levels.
