Parviz Steeds is a compassionate Clinical Social Worker and Therapist, recognized for his insightful approach to psychotherapy. He believes that the therapeutic process is instrumental in fostering deep connections with oneself and, ultimately, with others. Often, anxiety and depression stem from maladaptive coping strategies formed in childhood, leading to challenging relationships. Parviz emphasizes that happiness in both work and love serves as the foundation for a fulfilling life, and through therapy, this happiness is attainable. He employs a psychodynamic, insight-oriented approach to understand how individuals relate to others, integrating various theoretical frameworks tailored to each client's unique situation. With extensive training from the Washington School of Psychiatry, Parviz is proficient in the latest treatment methods. His multicultural experiences living in Africa, Asia, and Europe enrich his understanding of humanity and diversity. Additionally, he shared his knowledge as an Adjunct Professor at Howard University for two decades, until 2016, further demonstrating his commitment to fostering well-being in adults dealing with issues such as depression, relationship challenges, and domestic abuse.
