Family Support

Based in Cambridge, MD, the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (PWSA) is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals diagnosed with Prader-Willi syndrome and providing essential guidance to their families and care providers. The PWSA Family Support team is an invaluable resource, offering accurate information and comprehensive assistance from the moment of diagnosis. Our services include personalized support, parent mentoring, nutritional education, meal planning, and behavior management strategies. We also help families navigate the often complex application and appeal processes for Medicaid, insurance, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). For additional support, families can locate their local PWSA chapter or join one of our Facebook Support Groups to connect with other families facing similar challenges.
