Refugee Resettlement

Located in Brandywine, MD, the International Rescue Committee is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, survivors of torture, and other immigrants as they settle into their new lives in America. Our Refugee Resettlement program is designed to help individuals and families thrive by addressing their essential needs, including securing furnished homes and housing assistance, facilitating access to healthcare, and providing nutritious, affordable food. We offer English language classes and skill-building opportunities in job, computer, and financial literacy, along with educational resources for children. Our commitment extends to social services, community integration, and legal support for residency and citizenship. From the moment refugees arrive at the airport, they are welcomed by caring IRC case workers and volunteers, ensuring a smooth and compassionate transition into their new community.
