Dr. Stephanie Helwig is a compassionate psychologist with a PsyD, dedicated to assisting individuals dealing with chronic negative emotions like sadness, anger, anxiety, and loneliness. She understands that these feelings often signal deeper relational challenges that can be daunting to navigate alone. With a focus on psychodynamic therapy, Dr. Helwig explores how early relationships shape personality, worldview, and coping mechanisms. Through a blend of compassion, insight, and humor, she empowers her patients to gain a better understanding of themselves and learn effective ways to engage with others. Specializing in the complexities of young adult issues—including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, and identity—Dr. Helwig draws on her extensive postdoctoral psychoanalytic education. Her experience includes serving as an expert witness in court on parent-child relationships post-divorce and providing critical support to survivors of sexual abuse and complex trauma.
