Maureen Mcelroy

Maureen Mcelroy is a compassionate Marriage & Family Therapist with an MA and MS, and an LCMFT credential who holds a degree from the University of Maryland. She understands that life can often be tougher than expected, leaving individuals feeling stressed, depressed, or anxious. Many may struggle with complex family relationships, communication with partners, or the challenges of parenting. Maureen assists clients in navigating their feelings of loss and supports them in reconciling their postponed dreams as they focus on family matters. Each client, whether in individual or couple counseling, parent education, or family therapy, is met with her warm, caring, and empathetic approach. Clients appreciate how Maureen helps them recognize and celebrate their strengths, guiding them to heal, move forward, and improve their relationships with themselves and others. She is adept at addressing stress and disappointment, and as a PEP Parent Educator, she has empowered hundreds of parents to overcome common parenting obstacles. Maureen has a particular fondness for working with older adults and finds joy in assisting parents as they navigate the transition when their children become young adults.
