Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

Located in Waltham, MA, the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program is dedicated to fostering healthy eating habits for low-income pregnant and postpartum women, breastfeeding mothers, and children from birth to five years old. WIC offers essential services including personalized nutrition and educational counseling, breastfeeding support and materials, and provision of breastfeeding supplies like breast pumps. Participants receive a debit card to purchase nutritious foods, such as milk, whole grains, fresh fruits, and vegetables, tailored to the specific needs of their family. Additionally, our knowledgeable counselors connect families with vital community resources such as SNAP, housing assistance, daycare, dental care, and more. Income eligibility is streamlined for those receiving TAFDC, SNAP, or MassHealth, as well as for foster children under five, ensuring that support is accessible to those who need it most.
