Baby Steps, located in Waltham, MA, is a compassionate clinic within the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Boston Medical Center dedicated to supporting former premature infants and term infants with complex newborn experiences. Our experienced team, comprised of a developmental and behavioral pediatrician, occupational therapists, and two dietitians, conducts thorough developmental evaluations and nutritional assessments to ensure every child receives the tailored care they need. Recognizing the unique challenges these families face, our family outreach advocate connects them to invaluable community-based services and resources. We prioritize individualized recommendations for developmental services, such as Early Intervention, along with detailed nutritional guidance and medical management. For families facing feeding challenges, our dietitian conducts home visits to observe feeding practices and develop personalized feeding plans. We also offer targeted feeding assessments for infants with specific difficulties. With a commitment to ongoing support, we schedule follow-up appointments as necessary, ensuring that both children and their families are equipped with the resources and care they need to thrive.
