Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program in Roxbury, MA, is dedicated to fostering healthy food habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our services include personalized nutrition education and counseling tailored to the needs of families, comprehensive breastfeeding support with educational materials and supplies like breast pumps, and a debit card system that allows families to purchase essential healthy foods such as milk, whole grains, beans, cereals, and fresh fruits and vegetables. Our experienced counselors collaborate with you to create a food package that best supports your family’s nutritional needs. We also provide referrals to valuable community resources including SNAP, housing assistance, daycare services, dental care, clothing, and fuel assistance. If you’re receiving TAFDC, SNAP, or MassHealth, you are automatically income-eligible for WIC, and we warmly welcome foster children under the age of five into our program.
