Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Pittsfield, MA, is dedicated to fostering a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system by sponsoring, training, and empowering individuals to become advocates and educators. Through an immersive, six-month experiential program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants gain essential organic food system education and practical experience while working on a diverse market-style farm. Beyond the Fellowship, selected participants engage in a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to enhance access to healthy foods, promote community gardens, and implement innovative food literacy initiatives. The Fellowship is tuition-free, ensuring greater accessibility for all aspiring change-makers passionate about building resilient food systems while supporting local food initiatives and farmers markets. Applications are welcomed until March each year, with the program typically running from May to October.
