Tetty Gorfine

Tetty Gorfine is a compassionate Clinical Social Worker and Therapist, holding credentials as an LCSW and LMHC. She understands that life can be both challenging and beautiful, with each person's symptoms reflecting their distress. Tetty employs gentleness, curiosity, and the development of awareness to lay a solid foundation for healing. She believes that life doesn’t have to be a repetitive cycle of challenging situations and feelings, and she is dedicated to fostering positive relationships with oneself and others. Her commitment to lasting change is evident; she is not a managed care therapist, but rather one who values respect, courage, and an open heart in the therapeutic process. Tetty works with individuals and couples across the spectrum, including heterosexual, non-binary, and LGBTQA+ individuals. With specialized expertise in end-of-life issues, grief and loss, autism, and the deaf and hard of hearing communities, she brings years of experience in addressing anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, and life-altering illnesses. Recognizing the uniqueness of each person, Tetty's therapeutic relationships are tailored to fit individual needs. Drawing on psychodynamic, body-centered, mindfulness, and relational perspectives, her approach is flexible and centered around her clients. She is deeply interested in uncovering the root of distress and facilitating its transformation. Tetty feels honored to be part of the healing journey at all stages of life, embodying heartfelt participation and engagement. She acknowledges that healing can arise from relationships, even when injury occurs within them.
