Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Melrose, MA, is dedicated to nurturing the health and well-being of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with infants and children up to five years old. We offer essential nutrition education and counseling tailored to the unique needs of women and families, alongside breastfeeding support and educational resources. Participants receive a debit card to purchase nutritious food like milk, whole grains, beans, cereal, and fresh fruits and vegetables, allowing for a customized food package that best suits their family’s needs. In addition, we connect families with vital community resources including SNAP, housing assistance, daycare, dental care, clothing, and fuel assistance. If you're receiving TAFDC, SNAP, or MassHealth, you're automatically considered income-eligible for WIC, including foster children under age five. Our mission is to empower families with the tools and support they need for a healthy future.
