Janet Quain-nowak

Janet Quain-Nowak is a seasoned Clinical Social Worker and Therapist with over 25 years of experience. She understands that life can present challenges that may lead to emotional unrest, impacting relationships, functionality, and overall well-being. Recognizing the complexity of life, Janet is dedicated to helping clients navigate these hurdles, gain insight and self-awareness, and shift thought patterns and behaviors that no longer benefit them. In her practice, she creates a safe and nonjudgmental space where a trusting therapeutic relationship serves as the foundation for healing. Utilizing a blend of techniques, including psychodynamic therapy, family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based stress reduction, she tailors her approach to fit the unique needs of each individual. Having practiced in Massachusetts, New York City, and New Mexico, Janet has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, many of whom have faced loss and trauma.
