Dave Russo

Dave Russo, a dedicated therapist, holds the esteemed credentials of Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). With specialized training as a Level II EMDR Therapist, he brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to his practice. Having taught in the pastoral counseling graduate program at Assumption College, Dave's passion for nurturing mental health is evident in both his teaching and his therapeutic approach. His academic journey included dual majors in Religious Studies and Psychology from Assumption College, followed by a Master's degree in Theological Studies and Pastoral Counseling from the Claremont School of Theology. Additionally, he completed two years of post-graduate work in pastoral counseling at Claremont, where he studied under Howard Clinebell, a pioneer in the modern pastoral counseling movement. Throughout his career, Dave has been a vital part of various institutions, serving on the clinical staff and as the Administrator of the Clinebell Center in California and at the Pastoral Ministries Institute in Washington D.C. He dedicated 24 years to the Pastoral Counseling Centers of Massachusetts, notably at the Worcester and Assabet Valley Pastoral Counseling Centers, and has spent the last 13 years serving as the Executive Director of the Pastoral Counseling Centers of Massachusetts. Dave focuses his therapeutic practice on adults and elders, addressing critical issues such as depression, trauma, and relationship dynamics, utilizing models like Imago, Family Systems, and Psychodynamic Therapy to foster meaningful connection and healing.
