Marcia Tryon

Marcia Tryon is a dedicated counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who believes that people do well if they can, rather than simply because they want to. She understands that emotions such as sadness, anxiety, and anger are not choices, but rather significant challenges that individuals face. With a passion for empowering her clients, Marcia specializes in helping them develop the skills necessary to navigate daily emotional struggles, particularly in relationships and emotional regulation. Her practice addresses a variety of issues including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, as well as enhancing social skills. Marcia works closely with individuals to identify and tackle their unique challenges. Additionally, she provides clinical consultation for schools seeking guidance on managing challenging behaviors in children, and offers clinical supervision for clinicians pursuing licensure. Her approach to therapy is versatile, incorporating methods such as the Collaborative Problem Solving Approach, Yoga for the Traumatized Body, and Therapeutic Adventure, tailored to each client's needs in both individual and family therapy settings.
