Located in Dorchester, MA, the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program is dedicated to fostering healthier food habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our program offers vital nutrition education and counseling tailored to the unique needs of families, along with guidance on breastfeeding and access to essential breastfeeding supplies, including breast pumps. Participants receive a debit card for purchasing nutritious foods such as milk, whole grains, beans, cereal, and fresh fruits and vegetables, with personalized support from our counselors to create optimal food packages. Additionally, we connect families to a network of community resources, including SNAP, housing, daycare, dental care, and fuel assistance. If you receive TAFDC, SNAP, or MassHealth, you are automatically income eligible for our services, and foster children under five also qualify for WIC support.
